Weekend Lace

Andrew and I decided to take a weekend trip to Friday Harbor.  It still completely amazes us that we live so close to beautiful places like this!  It ended up being such a nice day - full of sunshine.  Although the sun was shining for most of the day, there was quite a chill in the air.  Being from Tennessee, I am so not used to it being chilly in the middle of May (I am used to high heat, and even higher humidity)!  Since moving out here, I have had to readjust some of my clothing choices - especially in the spring and summer.

I thought this top would be perfect for spring here in the Pacific Northwest - the long sleeves for warmth, the breeziness of the lace, and in one of my favorite colors for spring, WHITE!  And I have to say, I am obsessing over these jeans right now!  I love that vintage-inspired, straight leg denim is coming back around - especially the ones with fun little details (like the back pockets on these).  Don't get me wrong, I still love my skinny jeans, but it feels good to add a little something different to the wardrobe.  And if you haven't noticed yet, I can't complete an outfit without some sunnies!  The pink mirrored lenses on these make them an easy go-to for spring.
