A Night at the Emmys

This past weekend, Andrew and I attended the North West Regional Emmys!  My super talented husband was nominated for TWO Emmys for two promotions he had created in the last year!  For those that don't know, Andrew works for a local television news station in the marketing/promotion department (which basically means he makes commercials/promotions for the station).  He has been doing some form of video for literally his whole life!  It's because of all of his amazing work that we had the opportunity to move out here to Seattle!  With his job, we've gotten to attend many cool events like this in the past, but it was our first time at the Emmys (and his first time being nominated) so we were very excited!

The evening began with a cocktail hour (which of course we were late for) and then a wonderful dinner.  Finally, it was showtime - the anticipation was killing us!  Unfortunately, he did not win an Emmy this year, but I couldn't be more proud of him!  He is seriously one of the most talented people that I know!  Each time I see one of his videos, I don't think it can get any better, and then.... it does!  His work amazes me each and every time (and I'm not just saying that because he's my husband :).  After the show, we decided to end our night at Dick's Drive-In with $2 burgers, fries, and shakes - you can't go wrong with that, right?!  Although Andrew didn't win this year, we had such a fun evening with each other and his coworkers!  Plus, he is up for 2 more awards at the PromaxBDA Awards in Las Vegas in a few weeks - and I just know he will take home some gold!
