One Month Down

So we have officially been living in Seattle for one month now!  It feels as if we have been here our whole lives and at the same time, like we've only been here for a week.  So far it has been one of the most exciting times in our lives!  I can't wait to have more explorations around the city and share them with all of you!

Last weekend was another big weekend full of new adventures.  Friday night started with some coffee after dinner and a walk downtown.  There is just something special about being in the middle of the city, at night, with all the lights, sights, and sounds.  We came across an art installation in the middle of downtown - called the Blue Sky Passage.  It was inside of a shipping container in Westlake Park.  It was created so people could enjoy the bright, sunny, summer days of Seattle during the winter months.  It is such a great concept - plus, we couldn't resist the photo op!

Andrew had to work Saturday morning/afternoon, so we didn't start exploring until that evening.  We were starving and decided to try out a local fast food/burger place that we had been hearing about - Dick's Drive In.  We both tried the burgers, fries, and shakes.  The portions were pretty small so I wouldn't recommend going on an empty stomach.  However, the food and shakes were good (not In-N-Out good, but good) and it's cheap so it's definitely a must-try if you're in the Seattle area.

On Sunday we decided to go to the Seattle Central Public Library.  It had been on my list of places to go here in Seattle.  It is one of the most unique libraries I've ever seen.  The architecture of the building - inside and out - is just so interesting!  We spent the day walking around (and getting lost) inside the library.

Isn't it beautiful?!
